La Fleur — a latte made with lavender-fused vanilla syrup latte — is a beloved spring/summer specialty drink at our cafes in Nashville.

And in case you needed proof that it is, in fact, loved by so many, here’s what some folks have said about it:

“Yess!! My favorite 💫
“YES!!! I look forward to this one every spring”

“OO LALALAVENDER”

“So delicious 💜

We're hooking you up with the make-it-at-home version of this latte so you can enjoy La Fleur all year long.

INGREDIENTS

1 c. water

1 c. demerara (or raw) sugar

2/3 c. brown sugar

1 tbsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. salt

3 tsp. dried lavender buds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients (except lavender) into a sauce pan and stir to combine.

  2. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.

  3. Stir in lavender buds and turn heat to low

  4. Actively simmer (lots of bubbling!) without a lid over low heat for 20 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat, let cool, then strain with a fine mesh sieve.

  6. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

CONSTRUCTING THE LATTE

Combine 1/2 oz — about a TBSP — of syrup with a shot of espresso (we love using Tres Banderas). Mix well.

12 OZ HOT LATTE

  • Pour espresso + syrup mixture into a mug.
  • Steam (or heat, then froth) about one cup milk of choice.
  • Pour the milk into the espresso mixture. Use our latte art guide for tips and tricks on pouring!

16 OZ ICED LATTE

  • Pour espresso + syrup mixture into a 16 oz glass.
  • Add about one cup of milk of choice.
  • Top with ice.
