For those days when you just want to pour and go, we present our recipe for a batch iced latte. Made with a cold brew concentrate plus milk (and syrup if you want!), this version of an iced latte tends to be a bit more creamy and smooth than an iced latte made with espresso. (P.S. We've also heard these referred to as toddy lattes.)

We love the flexibility of having the batch iced latte in the fridge for quick cup of cold coffee. This recipe makes 4-6 servings and will stay fresh in the fridge for about 3-5 days.

BATCH LATTE RECIPE

This recipe will make about 4-6 lattes, depending on size.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams cold brew concentrate
    • made from 85 g coffee and 340 g water
  • 900 grams milk
    • about a quart (32 oz)
  • 105 grams syrup of choice (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make cold brew concentrate. Use these directions, but make the batch with 85 g coffee and 340 g water, which will yield about 300 g of concentrate.

    • Don't forget that cold brew takes 16 hours to make!

  2. Combine the 300g of cold brew concentrate with 900g of milk in a large pitcher or jar. (We like using a glass one)

    • 900 g of milk is just about 32oz (quart) - the size of the smaller alternative milk cartons if that's what you're going to use!

  3. Add syrup if you want to sweeten it. Make your own or use one of our recipes:

  4. Stir/shake all ingredients well, cover with a lid, and stick in the fridge.

  5. Use batch iced latte within 3-5 days for freshest taste.

    • Don't forget to stir/shake well each time before you portion some out!

SERVING A BATCH ICED LATTE

When you're ready to enjoy, portion out a serving of your batch iced latte and add ice.

For 12oz iced latte, use 6-8 oz of batch latte and add ice to the top.

For 16oz iced latte, use 8-10 oz of batch latte and add ice to top.
