About this coffee

Is there a more potent influence on purchasing power than someone who believes wholly in what they’re selling? It’s far too easy to sniff out a person who doesn’t actually think what they’re offering is the real deal, so when you find someone like Alfredo Gomez, the authenticity is palpable. Villa Hermosa, the farm that gave us this namesake coffee, has been in Gomez’s family since his grandfather purchased it in 1940 and he himself has been a producer for two whole decades!

As someone who has been around coffee cultivation his entire life, Alfredo Gomez can be trusted when he tells you that he wholeheartedly believes this coffee is the good stuff!

But don’t take his word - or our word - for it, go ahead and try it yourself. Brew a cup of Villa Hermosa and you’ll find the floral, gentle tartness of hibiscus met with sweet, citric orange and the rounding caramelized depth of toffee.

And if you think you can ask us which of our current Colombian coffees is our favorite, you might as well be asking which child is our favorite! Los Eucaliptos and Villa Hermosa may both be from Colombia, but they carry distinctive characteristics - don’t miss a chance to enjoy each of their unique flavor experiences for yourself.

Tasting Notes:

Hibiscus, Orange, Toffee

This coffee shines when filter brewed: we suggest the Chemex or Kalita Wave.
