About this coffee
Quick show of hands!
Who loves coffees from Kenya, the country whose coffees are so complex and unforgettable that one sip will put the threats of winter “storms” that will effectively shut down the entire city of Nashville out of mind?
The results are in! No one doesn't love Kenyan coffees. And so with the advent of the new year, a new coffee from Kenya's Thiririka co-op hits our shelves.
Complex flavors and sparkling acidity are hallmarks of Kenyan coffees, and the Thiririka boasts a complexity we can’t get enough of.
One of our favorite qualities of this coffee (and other Kenyan coffees) is its comforting, yet splashy tomatoey richness. The Thiririka's juiciness, acidity, and complexity all compliment each other beautifully. As the coffee begins to cool, notice the notes of dates and the tartness of black currant while a backbone of wildflower honey rounds out this coffee’s body. There's only one choice for the winter blues: catch this coffee in your eager, bundled arms.
Black Currant, Dates, Wildflower Honey
This is a stunning coffee for the Chemex. Pay attention to the way it opens up and explodes in deliciousness after a dozen days off roast. Drink slowly and savor.
