About this coffee

You know what they say: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” and this couldn’t be truer when it comes to our years-long relationship with the Menendez Family in El Salvador.

We're stoked to offer up yet another tasty treat from these fine folks, even revisiting a coffee from their farm Santa Barbara for a second year in a row! Clearly, if we find a good thing we like to keep it around.

The Menendez family produces exceptional coffees, and this is a lovely example of their work. Beautiful notes of orange and chocolate dominate the cup, and as the coffee cools, the sweet and smooth body becomes increasingly apparent. The Santa Barbara is reliably delicious and sure to be a go-to morning sipper.

TASTING NOTES

Orange, Caramel, Toasted Cacao Nibs

Brewing

We love this coffee brewed in a Kalita at a 16:1 ratio, which really brings out the depth of the body. Or you could try the Chemex and discover just how complex this tasty coffee can be.

RATIO: 16:1 (Example: 400 grams water, 25 grams coffee produces 12 ounce cup)
