About this coffee

Picture an idyllic summer night. The crickets are chirping, the heat from the day has dissipated, music is playing in the background and you sit down with a light summer meal.

Then someone comes alongside you and pours you a glass of heavy, dark, full-bodied red wine...or a glass of chocolate milk. One of these things is not like the other.

Just like we wouldn’t expect you to enjoy a misplaced wine pairing, we hope this coffee can offer a similar perfect match for your summer coffee needs. Consider Los Vascos from Colombia to be the light spanish red of your summer coffee collection - minus the wine stained teeth and time restraints...you can drink this coffee all day long, all summer long.

Los Vascos is a deliciously unique coffee that hails from the Bilbao region of Tolima, Colombia where most coffee growers are originally from the Basque region of Spain. Take a few sips and you will notice that its pleasantly tart and friendly fruitiness will draw you in immediately. As it cools, its subtle orange acidity leads into the deep sweetness of brown sugar.

Los Vascos is the perfect combination of pleasant fruitiness without being overly rich and thick - the ideal coffee to get us through the rest of these hot summer days, and we don’t know about you, but we may need some help powering through. We can all get by with a little help from Los Vascos.

Tasting Notes:

Plum, Brown Sugar, Orange

Brewing

This coffee shines when filter brewed: we suggest the Chemex. Generally, filter brewing produces better coffee clarity (ability to tell flavors apart) than body (texture, weight in your mouth) and we love this coffee's clarity.

Brewing Guide: Chemex

RATIO: 16:1 (Example: 400 grams water, 25 grams coffee produces a 12 ounce cup)
