About this coffee
Your friends may be a little surprised if they ask you to “pass the Corona” and you hand them a warm mug of coffee, but we promise their frustrations will evaporate as soon as they take a sip of La Corona - our newest coffee from Guatemala.
Producer Julio Olayo ensures that what comes from his farm is of the best quality, processing his micro-lots meticulously, hand-sorting defects and it shows! Julio is one of three generations currently working at Finca La Corona in San Miguel Escobar - a small town in Guatemala where this coffee “grew up.”
We encourage you to forget the effervescent lime-enhanced Coronas of your past and welcome La Corona’s pleasantly approachable lime acidity in its stead. Delicate sweetness that reminds us of fresh melon and the subtle floral notes found in coriander round out this coffee as all of this goodness makes its way into your mouth via a balanced medium body.
Three generations of Olayos have worked to provide you with this fully-washed Guatemalan delight so trade your beer mug for a coffee mug and pour yourself some La Corona.

This coffee shines when filter brewed: we suggest the Chemex. Generally, filter brewing produces better coffee clarity (ability to tell flavors apart) than body (texture, weight in your mouth) and we love this coffee's clarity.
