About this coffee

One time, in Panama, we asked coffee producer Wilford Lamastas what his hobbies were outside of coffee. He looked at us like we'd dumped caramel apple-infused creamer into his cup: "There is nothing else," he memorably told us.

And you can clearly taste the single-minded coffee-love in the definitely-not-caramel -apple-infused deliciousness of this coffee.

The Elida Natural, from Wilford's Elida Estate farm, is among the best natural processed coffees we've ever tasted.

The coffee boasts stunning layers of juicy plum, jammy currant and peaks with a spicy cinnamon finish. All this adds up to an explosive, evolving, fruit-forward coffee experience: one we've come to expect from the coffee-obsessed Lamastus family.

Brewing Recommendation

This coffee shines when filter brewed: we suggest the Chemex or Kalita brewing devices. Generally, filter brewing produces better coffee clarity (ability to tell flavors apart) than body (texture, weight in your mouth) and we love this coffee's complex clarity.
