About this coffee

When we were in Panama, after a long day of walking the farms and cupping coffees, we settled in for a beer with our host, Wilford Lamastus. There was a moment when things got quiet, and we asked him about his hobbies, his passions outside of coffee, what he loves doing after he clocks out of work and kicks his shoes off for the day. And Wilford quickly responded: “There is nothing else! This is it. This is what I am into. Coffee is what I love.”

And this is why Wilford’s coffee -- a Geisha varietal from his El Burro farm -- is so outstandingly good.

That love and passion for his work has carried Wilford’s coffee to hosts of awards in Panama. And it’s a love you can taste in the bright complexities of this coffee. You may remember this coffee from last year, but this year’s crop brings a new twist: honey processing. Part of the cherry is left on when drying the coffee, and this brings a unique sweetness and complexity to this already stunning Geisha varietal.

Dazzling with excitable notes of jasmine, this Geisha varietal splashes down on the back of the tongue with the sweet juiciness of strawberries. This remarkably complex Geisha brings a pleasant toffee-like body, and lingers with a pleasant finish.
