About this coffee

Stubborn. Not a descriptor you would expect to find related to coffee, but our latest coffee from Papua New Guinea carries it well. It’s named after the farm where it was grown - Baroida Estate - a name that (long story short) represents stubborn resilience. And it is thanks to the producer’s stubborn resilience that we get to enjoy this clean, delicious coffee from Papua New Guinea.

Their dedication to separating out 29 plots, each a separate varietal, and then pulping, processing, drying and assessing each varietal individually before blending, is the reason that this coffee’s quality is so exceptional. Finding a clean cup of coffee from Papua New Guinea that has clarity of flavor is incredibly challenging and the Colbran family has managed to provide that here!

The perfect balance between mellow plum fruitiness and cranberry tartness, this coffee is sure to be a standout compared to any other from Papua New won’t want to miss this! Who knew stubbornness could taste so delicious?

Tasting Notes:

Plum, Cranberry, Brown Sugar

The body of this unique coffee comes across beautifully in an Aeropress while the clarity of the cup is evident in the Kalita Wave. Or try both and see which you prefer!
