The good folks at The Catbird Seat invited us to participate in their palate wizardry, and what were we going to do, say no?
On Sunday Dec 8th, The Catbird Seat and chef Erik Anderson hosted brunch, uniting crazy-good brunch creations with our own delicious coffees.
While coffee is usually an afterthought at brunch, this was a collaboration from the start. Erik designed the tasting menu (featuring, among other things, lamb belly benedict [!!!]) with fruity, chocolatey coffees in mind.
Sean Stewart and Winston Harrison, captains of CREMA’s Roasting and Green Buying, hand-selected the coffees to pair beautifully with the sweet and savory food offerings.
Our award-winning brewers saddled up right next to Catbird’s award-winning chefs in their U-shaped kitchen, serving our Chania Estate (Kenya), La Lia (Costa Rica), and Cerro Azul Gesha (Colombia) coffees to the lucky diners.
